Barton Community College will have no classes during its spring break from March 11-15. Barton’s offices will remain open through March 13 but will be closed March 14 and 15. The college’s regular class schedule and business hours will resume Monday, March 18.

Acclaimed poet, author, and composer Charles Anthony Silvestri will present sessions focusing on the lyrics in choral settings as well as the business of poetic writing for the choral arts at a pair of a two-day clinic at Barton Community College March 21-22, and the public is invited to attend these free sessions.

Throughout the spring semester, Barton Community College faculty and staff participated in various activities that tied into USD 428’s district-wide reading of the book “Wild Robot,” which included a focus on how robots work and how they fit into the various STEM disciplines.

***THIS HAS BEEN CANCELED*** The Barton Theatre Department will host a showcase by the Alithea Mime Theatre at 7:30 p.m. March 9 the Fine Arts Auditorium, and tickets are $10. The show is appropriate for ages 12 and up. For more ticket information, visit shows.bartonccc.edu.
